With Marvel Studios having released 11 new posters depicting Civil War in the last two days, it is unsurprising to find their big superhero rival felt the need to do the same.
Following the excellent ‘Days of Future Past’, ‘Apocalypse’ sees the X-men facing off against their most powerful rival yet – the titular god hinted at during the post credit sting at the end of the last film.
In the comics the worlds oldest mutant was never alone, holding his own team of villains – codenamed ‘The Four Horseman’. With the biggest hook of this film being these four antagonists and the big blue, is it surprising to find Fox opting to use this slant as a marketing tool?
Below is the poster which showcases the four horseman in all their glory; Storm (Alexandra Shipp), Psylocke (Olivia Munn), Archangel (Ben Hardy) and Magneto (Michael Fassbender). With Oscar Isaac portrays the titular antagonist of this movie, and under the excellent Bryan Singer in a director role – could this film rival X2 as the definitive X-Men movie?
We will soon be able to find out, when the film hits our screens in May.
