With Disney releasing a magnitude of different blockbuster releases this summer, it seemed inevitable that the majority of covers I designed would feature their films. With August, the choice was limited to really one choice; “Pete’s Dragon” – a bold reimagining of a budget fantasy.

With a newly designed Eliot, and a bolder outline of the plot, Disney have revolutionised the aged film – pushing it’s premise into a modern demographic. To showcase this broader scope and larger scale, the cover utilises a soaring image of the title character amongst a flurry of clouds.

With the angle allowing for an interesting build and the image showcasing the more modern take, the cover seemed perfect for the modern marketplace.
